Relax under the Sea (2007) is a visual journey of underwater Hawaii. The project is distributed by the Islander Group / Booklines Hawaii, and by DFS (duty free shops) as both an educational marine animal DVD and as a relaxation, therapudic imagery DVD. The project includes an hour long movie, and seven individual looping ocean scenes chosen by the user. It also includes a track naming over 40 species of fishes in both Hawaiian and English Languages. An in house production from concept to shooting, editing, and distribution

ESPN BXRL (2006) The BillFishing Xtreme Release League is a made for television series based on a 1 million dollar JackPot Bill-Fishing tournament. Each of the seven episodes were filmed at a different locations in the Carribean with cash prizes at each event and a grand prize winner takes all at the end of the series. With a camera crew on each boat, the tention is captured as teams vie for the million dollar jackpot. We shot this entire series with our Sony Betacam D600 and some XC-999 cigar cameras mounted on the bridge. Mike was also an Avid Editor on the 2005 series.




Journey through the Sea of Life (2005) was produced for the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium. The narrator takes you on an informative walk through the aquarium as the viewer is treated to amazing underwater footage while being educated about the different marine animals in Hawaii, how they got here, and about their habitat. Mike Waltze approached the Aquarium back in 2004 about creating a marketing and advertising tool for them that would not only pay for itself, but eventually make money. This DVD, sold in their retail store, has become an enjoyment for their clients, and an asset for their company, not only paying for itself, but becoming a profitable product while promoting their business. The Red bull King of the Year (1999 - 2005)

Waltze Productions conceived and produced the King of the Air Kiteboarding event for Red Bull North america from 1999 to 2005. The first kiteboarding event at Hookipa was put on by Mike Waltze and Joe Cool in 1998. the following year, Red Bull aproached Waltze Productions wanting to get behind this new sport and develope their own signature competition. The King of the air went on to become the most prestigeous of all international events, and it set the standard for competitive kiteboarding for the next 7 years.
We managed all parts of production including... permits - infrastructure -safety - competition personel - judging - event planning - parties - awards presentations and banquets - coordination of film crews and lodging.





Save Maalaea (2004) was commissioned by the Surf Rider Foundation. This documentary takes an environmental look at the controversy over the Army Corps of Engineers plans to expand the Breakwater at Maalaea harbor in Hawaii, and the adverse effects it would have on the surfing break, marine animals, reef, and whale population. Produced and edited by Waltze Productions.




Onipa'a - a retrospective This peice tells some history of the early Hawaiiians that settled in the islands and documents an event known as Onipa'a which was the 100 year anniversary of the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy (Januaary 17, 1893) The event reflected back on the events that led up to the overthrow by Businessmen in Hawaii which was backed by the US government.
